Marai has been working as a professional hair and makeup artist for 12 years, and her range shows it. Over the course of her career, she's moved fluidly between soft romantic bridal glam, bold editorial looks, gothic aesthetics, and full-glam transformations. Not because she's chasing variety, but because she's genuinely interested in all of it. Beauty, for her, has never been about one specific mold.

Her philosophy is straightforward: every person who sits in her chair has their own features, their own energy, their own style, and her job is to enhance that in a way that feels true to them. The chair is a space where everyone is welcome. Whether a client wants something elevated and natural or something dramatic and statement-making, Marai wants them to leave feeling empowered, confident, and seen, not like they've been transformed into someone else's idea of beautiful.

Outside of work, she's a proud mom to a daughter and a son who inform a lot of how she thinks and creates. As a family, they spend time outdoors, craft together, and explore nature whenever they can. In her own time, Marai hikes, practices yoga, and listens to music across basically every genre imaginable. She's also a horror movie fan, a lover of suspense and sci-fi books, and a consistent listener of mental health podcasts. All of which, she says, connect back to her appreciation for storytelling, emotion, and human connection.
